A SHORT HISTORY
Independent studies and trials from around the globe have showcased sulforaphane's incredible benefits, both for general health and for specific ailments.
Sulforaphane is a natural compound belonging to a plant-based group of disease-fighting phytochemicals known as isothiocyanates, and is found in cruciferous vegetables, such broccoli, cabbage, kale and most abundantly in broccoli sprouts.
Sulforaphane first rose to prominence in 1992 when isolated as a potential "cancer-fighting compound" by a team of scientists at the Johns Hopkins University led by renowned pharmacologist Paul Talalay.
The discovery gained worldwide media attention, with stories such as that seen in the New York Times' "Potent Chemical To Fight Cancer Seen In Broccoli."
Since then, studies and trials have been conducted around the world on sulforaphane, broccoli sprouts + their incredible effects.
THE PROBLEM WITH JUST EATING BROCCOLI SPROUTS
Broccoli sprouts are the most abundant natural-source of sulforaphane, yielding up to 100x more sulforaphane than mature broccoli.
However, getting enough sulforaphane from just eating broccoli sprouts to make any profound impact requires a lot of effort and a very large appetite.
Breeding + growing broccoli sprouts often requires several hours of work each week.
